Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce has certified Pulcra Specialty Chemicals (Shanghai) Co Ltd, a German-invested specialty chemicals manufacturer based in Jinshan district, as a multinational corporation's regional headquarters.

Pulcra traces its roots to Germany's Henkel Group which has more than 140 years of experience in specialty chemicals making. Pulcra has operated in Carbonbay for 18 years and is a major producer of surfactants.

The company offers more than 2,000 products, with a service network covering over 20 countries and regions. It has been recognized as a Shanghai high-tech enterprise and a specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprise.

Pulcra has focused on developing products with bio-based content exceeding 80 percent, with formulations that eliminate harmful substances such as heavy metals, offering greener solutions for manufacturing.

These products have been applied across sectors including apparel and home textiles, new energy equipment, transportation and high-end manufacturing.

Jinshan district now hosts eight multinational corporation's regional headquarters and 27 foreign-funded research and development centers.
