The Estee Lauder Companies launched its China intelligent supply chain operations center in Shanghai Xinzhuang Industrial Park, Minhang district, marking a milestone in Shanghai's high-end logistics and consumer goods sectors.

As one of the group's most highly automated omnichannel fulfillment centers worldwide, the new facility introduces an innovative "dual-warehouse" model that integrates bonded and non-bonded operations within a single system. This breakthrough enables seamless coordination between import and domestic business processes, shortening the time to market for imported beauty products and improving service quality.

Spanning 130,000 square meters, the center was developed and built by Shanghai Xinzhuang Industrial Park, with its automation solutions and daily operations handled by SF Holding. Equipped with advanced automation technologies, it supports 24/7 unmanned operations, with peak daily processing capacity exceeding 400,000 orders.

Unlike traditional supply chain models, where order fulfillment and regional distribution occur in separate stages, the new system enables both processes to be completed within the same physical space. Goods can be dispatched directly after conversion between bonded and non-bonded status, significantly improving efficiency and delivery speed. The company expects its next-day delivery coverage to nearly double compared with 2021 levels.

Sustainability considerations are integrated into the center's design and operations. The facility has achieved internationally recognized certifications, including LEED Gold certification, and incorporates energy-efficient materials, on-site solar power generation, and rainwater recycling systems. Advanced environmental controls ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality, safeguarding product integrity while reducing carbon emissions.

The launch strengthens the Estee Lauder Companies' supply chain network in China and positions Shanghai as the core of a distributed, multi-warehouse system. Building on earlier expansions in Guangzhou and Wuhan, the new center serves as an intelligent hub, enabling more responsive and integrated services for both e-commerce and offline retail channels across the country.

During the construction of the center, customs authorities, Minhang district, and Xinzhuang Industrial Park worked in close coordination, providing proactive services and precise, tailored support.
