Two more multinational companies set up regional headquarters in Putuo
Two multinational companies, one from Canada and the other from Germany, have recently set up their regional headquarters in Shanghai's Putuo district, which has been working to turn the foreign-invested headquarters economy into a crucial engine for the city's high-quality industrial development.
Jamieson Health Products (Shanghai) Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Canada's Jamieson Wellness Inc, which produces and distributes vitamins, minerals, supplements and sports nutrition products, and Deutz (Shanghai) International Trade Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Deutz AG, which is a global manufacturer of diesel and hydrogen engines for various industries from Germany, have been successfully recognized by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce as the two new regional headquarters for multinational companies in Putuo.
Since entering the Chinese market, Jamieson Wellness's market share has continued to rise steadily. The recognition of its headquarters will make it easier for the company to expand in China, strengthen its brand competitiveness, and better meet the demand of domestic consumers for high-quality health products.
Deutz AG has been continuously expanding its business presence in China in recent years, encompassing international trade, domestic cooperative production and sales, joint production and sales, as well as after-sales service and maintenance. The company stated that the regional headquarters is a key part of its efforts to promote the localized operation of the enterprise and will effectively enhance its service capabilities in the Asia-Pacific market.
Since last year, five multinational enterprises have been recognized as regional headquarters in Putuo district, bringing the total number of foreign-funded headquarters to 40.
