The Shanghai Universal Software Park is rapidly establishing itself as a leading innovation hub along the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt, attracting both local and international enterprises.

Since its inception in 2004, the park has evolved from focusing on information technology to becoming a diversified industrial cluster covering online gaming, artificial intelligence, digital marketing, cultural media, and fintech.

One of the park's success stories is Autolab, an automotive technology evaluation firm established in the park in 2016. Over the past nine years, its fan base skyrocketed 10-fold, from 2 million to 20 million. The company is now venturing into professional testing for intelligent driving systems.

The park now hosts four national-level "little giant" enterprises, 80 specialized and innovative SMEs, and 241 high-tech companies, with 69 high-tech firms as newcomers in 2025 alone.

The park's expansion includes managing multiple bases like Universal Technology Square and Universal Technology Park, alongside the Shanghai T-Center, with a total managed area hitting 450,000 square meters.

The inauguration of the Shanghai-Nanjing Collaborative Innovation Center at the Shanghai T-Center in October strengthened the park's role in regional innovation collaboration.

The park's focus on nurturing innovation is evident in initiatives like the "Putuo district online gaming enterprise incubator" and the "innovation technology incubator for intelligent connectivity", offering rent-free spaces and targeted support to foster growth for companies in the park.
