Shanghai's Putuo district is strengthening its business environment by connecting technology firms with markets, supporting business growth, and expanding cross-regional industrial collaboration along the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt.

​For Xunjiang Technology, a developer of nanofiber materials with more than 30 patents under its belt, the challenge was low share of voice. The park connected the company with potential partners from Jiangsu province through an innovation matchmaking event, helping it establish new business partnerships and secure recognition under Putuo's science and technology innovation programs.

The district has also introduced policies to help more technology companies gain visibility, including a dedicated liaison system for high-tech enterprises and regular policy briefings that have reached thousands of businesses.

Long-established companies have also benefited. Digital payment service provider Shouqianba, which serves more than 10 million merchants nationwide, recently moved to a new location in the park.

Company executives said the park's long-term support, ranging from office planning to talent services and housing policies, has played an important role in its growth.

Putuo is also extending its innovation network beyond Shanghai. The park has established partnerships with the cities of Yangzhou, Taizhou, and Nantong, promoting a model in which research and development is carried out in Shanghai while manufacturing and commercialization are coordinated across the Yangtze River Delta.

Officials said the district will continue improving its business environment while strengthening its role as a gateway linking Shanghai's innovation resources with the broader regional industrial network.
