Putuo district pioneers targeted development of cybersecurity industry
Amid the digital transformation of Shanghai, Putuo district has strategically positioned the cybersecurity industry as a key growth driver. As such, Changfeng Cybersecurity Industrial Park has pioneered a differentiated development path for the sector by focusing on vertical industrial chains and targeted investment promotion.
As Shanghai's only municipal-level cybersecurity demonstration park, it has become a hub for nearly 160 cybersecurity companies, covering essential stages from R&D to commercial applications.
The park's strategy is to attract leading enterprises and nurture startups, creating a tiered ecosystem of growth. Platforms like Urban Brain and the Cybersecurity Valley Incubator have been established, and key players like ABT Networks and Ropeok Technology have set up base in the park.
The incubator offers a vertical service system, providing resident companies with free access to platform resources such as technology testing environments, cloud resources, and industry databases, while facilitating industry-academia collaboration.
As of August, the incubator's occupancy rate has reached 85 percent, fostering a thriving environment for emerging enterprises.
With a comprehensive "1+9+X" policy package, Putuo district supports the entire industrial chain, covering platform development, ecosystem creation, insurance innovation, and supply-demand matching, transforming real business needs into investment opportunities.
In 2025, Putuo facilitated several practical collaborations by releasing demands for 10 application scenarios, achieving technology transactions worth 3.72 million yuan ($550,000) in the process.
