12th CSITF to showcase new technologies, global partnerships
The 12th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from June 11 to 13.
Hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, this year's fair will feature one themed pavilion, four major professional technology exhibition areas, and one innovation and trading service area, covering a total exhibition area of 38,000 square meters.
It will bring together innovative achievements from 22 countries and regions, as well as 24 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China. There are 1,006 participating companies, exceeding 1,000 for the first time. More than 60 supply-demand matchmaking sessions for Chinese and foreign companies will also take place.
This year's exhibition will focus on emerging fields. The digital and intelligent technology exhibition area will highlight frontier technologies in artificial intelligence, large models, commercial cryptography, the productive internet, and smart ports.
The green technology exhibition area will present innovations in green fuels, energy storage and transportation, and agricultural technology, while the marine technology exhibition area will cover technologies such as intelligent ships, offshore engineering equipment, and maritime communications.
The consumer technology and health technology exhibition area will feature new technologies and products in smart homes, brain-computer interfaces, rehabilitation, and elderly care.
International cooperation will be another highlight. For the first time, the fair will adopt a dual guest-city of honor mechanism featuring both overseas and domestic guest cities. Lausanne in Switzerland and a Scottish city cluster comprising Glasgow, Stirling, Inverness, Dundee, and Edinburgh will serve as overseas guest cities of honor, while Dalian and Nanjing will serve as domestic guest cities of honor.
An international exhibition area will also be set up. A total of 26 overseas trade promotion agencies, business associations, and chambers of commerce from countries and regions including Germany and France will organize 74 companies to participate, showcasing innovations in robotics, precision manufacturing, digital solutions, and other fields. More than 80 technology cooperation needs will be released.
