The Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences (SUMHS) is a medical college of applied technology in Shanghai.

Its main campus is located in the Shanghai International Medical Zone in the Pudong New Area. There are now more than 10,000 full-time students at the school.

The university provides 21 undergraduate programs. Among them, clinical engineering technology, medical product management, and intelligent imaging engineering programs are the first of their kind in China. Its health service and management and medical imaging technology programs are the first such programs in Shanghai.

SUMHS has positioned itself as an "application-oriented, characteristic and international" medical university, adhering to the philosophy of "combining medical engineering, medical care, and medical insurance". It is devoted to cultivating human health promoters with strong personalities and psychology with the ability to solve practical problems and with industry-leading potential, which have been widely recognised by society.
