The Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences (SUMHS) is a medical college of applied technology in Shanghai.

Its main campus is located in the Shanghai International Medical Zone in the Pudong New Area. There are now more than 11,000 full-time students at the school.

The university provides 20 undergraduate programmes. Among them, clinical engineering technology, medical product management, and intelligent imaging engineering programmes are the first of their kind in China. Its health service and management and medical imaging technology programmes are the first such programmes in Shanghai.

SUMHS has positioned itself as an "application-oriented, characteristic and international" medical university, adhering to the philosophy of "combining medical engineering, medical care, and medical insurance". It is devoted to cultivating human health promoters with strong personalities and psychology with the ability to solve practical problems and with industry-leading potential, which have been widely recognised by society.

SUMHS maintains close cooperation with more than 100 high-level medical service institutions, medical device enterprises, and testing units. It has carried out international cooperation with 17 countries and regions and established a long-term and stable cooperation mechanism for talent training.
