Established in 1999, Shanghai Jian Qiao University (SJQU) is a multi-disciplinary private university that cultivates innovative talents with practical skills through close cooperation with businesses and enterprises.

The university is composed of 13 colleges and offers 42 undergraduate programs in economics, management, literature, engineering, science, art, and education.

Located in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lin-gang Special Area, SJQU's campus covers an area of 532,500 square metres (53.25 hectares) and boasts a beautiful natural environment and advanced facilities.

SJQU adheres to a school-enterprise cooperation model and seeks to become an applied technology-based university. It has partnered with lots of enterprises to share resources and organize training courses.
