As one of the city's few beaches, Sunny Beach (Bihai Jinsha) attracts tourists with its vast beach area, diverse dining options, water sports, and thrilling aerial tours.

Hours: Daily from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with the last entry at 4 pm. It is currently undergoing maintenance and will reopen after April 1.

Best time to visit: June-September

Shanghai Urban Vegetable Garden

Shanghai Urban Vegetable Garden features over 200 fruits and vegetables, hands-on planting and tasting experiences, and educational insights into farming practices.

Additionally, visitors can enjoy recreational activities such as a mini train ride, off-road go-karting, and a children's playground.

Hours: Daily from 8 am to 6 pm, with the last entry at 5 pm.

Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park

Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park spans 1,000 hectares and boasts a diverse array of vegetation. Visitors can enjoy serene lakes, rolling hills, and meadows. The pet-friendly park offers various zones for thrilling rides, water sports, and cultural exhibitions, as well as a plum garden with 40,000 trees.

Hours: Daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with the last entry at 3:30 pm.

Huami Zhuanghang scenic area

Zhuanghang town is famous for its history, culture, and agricultural heritage, attracting millions of visitors annually with its scenic landscapes, agritainment experiences, rural charm,  renowned Hanguang porcelain, golden rapeseed flower fields and tasty local cuisine.

Hours: Daily from 8:30 am to 5 pm

Niche museums

In addition to Fengxian Museum, one of 12 national first-class museums in Shanghai, there are many lesser-known niche art museums in the district.

Chunzhi Contemporary Porcelain Museum

This museum is a hidden gem showcasing over 1,000 contemporary porcelain pieces on the second floor. It offers a unique experience blending porcelain culture with DIY and daily life.

Open from 9:30 am to 4 pm on weekdays and summer vacation and from 2 pm to 4 pm on weekends.

Free admission on the first floor, paid admission for the second floor and hands-on experiences

Shenxian (Immortal) Brewery Exhibition Hall

The Shenxian Brewery Exhibition Hall entices visitors with its rich history, ancient brewing tools, and diverse wine collection, offering a journey through the area’s brewing history. Guests can taste exquisite wines and experience the essence of centuries-old alcohol traditions.
