Spring breezes sweep through Shanghai's parks, where blooming flowers line the pathways and fresh greenery carpets the trails. Tucked among the blossoms and trees, these scenic train rides offer a gentle journey through the season's beauty, inviting visitors to take in every corner of the park at a leisurely pace.
01 Gongqing National Forest Park
The scenic train at Gongqing National Forest Park is located on the south side of the park's west gate and serves as one of the main ways to explore the forest. The track runs 1,000 meters long, and the train features a classic vintage-style design with red carriages that can accommodate up to 40 passengers.
The ride takes visitors through tall forests, low shrubs, a tunnel, a small bridge, across a stream, past flower fields, up a grassy slope, and alongside an amusement area.
Outside the windows in spring, the pine forest and Qinglan Bridge area are blanketed in swatches of purple blossoms, while willows drape over the lake like a soft green curtain. The boardwalk, lined with metasequoia trees, offers picture-perfect views at every turn.

02 Gucun Park
During the 2026 Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival, Gucun Park introduces a limited-edition cherry blossom train. The carriages are painted in soft pink, making them look like something straight out of a storybook.
As the train winds through the blossoms, petals drift into the open windows, turning the ride into a passage through a living painting.

03 Binjiang Forest Park
The scenic train at Binjiang Forest Park, a scaled-down replica of an electric train, provides a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors.
The track runs 550 meters long, taking passengers through slopes, bridges, lawns, flower fields, and forests, offering a journey full of natural charm. Simply climb aboard to enjoy a gentle spring outing!

04 Hengmian Park
The train ride at Hengmian Park links six themed areas: a forest boardwalk, a fitness zone, a water forest, a children's play area, a lakeside paddling spot, and a forest camping site. Along the route, it winds past more than 40,000 pond cypress trees, with water gently lapping and leaves rustling in the breeze. At every turn, a tranquil scene unfolds.
Whether sunlight filters through the trees in a golden glow or clouds soften the reflections on the water, the unhurried ride invites you to take it all in. It offers a quiet retreat from the city.
