A foreign-related legal service center will be established in the Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone, with professional teams offering one-stop cross-border legal support for global market entities.

According to plan, the center will be located in a 1,500 square-meter legal function space within the business zone.

The above information was released on Nov 13 during a conference on optimizing the law-based business environment in Shanghai's Pudong New Area.

The event marked the official launch of version 2.0 of the core area for Shanghai's international legal service center.

Huang Aiwu, director of the justice bureau of Pudong New Area, said the upgraded core area will address enterprises' full life-cycle legal needs, helping firms solve problems and achieve development.

Under the new plan, the district will accelerate the construction of the Lujiazui legal service cluster and a series of functional platforms, boosting trade and business through legal services.

In addition, the conference released a legal service list for enterprises, a legal navigation map for overseas expansion, and the first batch of Pudong law firms' overseas cooperation directories, enabling companies in the area to access global legal resources.
