Hongqiao airport launches 'Xiangdao Station' for ride-hailing services
Travelers arriving at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport can now experience a more seamless ride-hailing process with the newly launched Xiangdao Station, which began operations on Dec 1.
After landing, passengers can book a ride in real-time or schedule one in advance through the Xiangdao Chuxing app and head to the designated pickup zones on Level B2 of the T1-P1 parking lot and Level 2 of the T2-P2 parking lot.
Previously, arriving passengers often faced long taxi lines or struggled to locate their booked cars in large, crowded parking facilities — a process that frequently led to delays and frustration.
With Xiangdao Station, pickup and drop-off operations are now centrally coordinated, which helps passengers meet drivers, reduces search time in busy airport zones, and improves overall traffic flow. This upgrade is part of ongoing efforts to enhance service quality and traveler convenience at Hongqiao airport.
The opening comes after the successful introduction of the Xiangdao Station at Shanghai Pudong International Airport in March this year, extending the service's coverage to both of Shanghai's major international air hubs.
