The East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) and Shanghai Shenhua Football Club hosted the inauguration ceremony of the ECUST International Student Sports and Cultural Practice Base at the Shenhua Football Training Base on April 18.

At the opening ceremony, Gu Jiqing, chairman of Shanghai Shenhua Football Club, expressed his optimism that the new base would serve as a bridge to exchanges through football, enabling more international students from ECUST to delve into the exhilaration of the sport, uncover the distinctive urban charm of Shanghai, and immerse themselves in the captivating essence of Chinese culture.

Following the unveiling ceremony, the ECUST international student football team engaged in a friendly match with the U19 Shanghai Shenhua Football Club youth training team.
