Donghua University's intl students become pioneers in foreign social work
The Shanghai Hongqiao One-Stop Service Center for Overseas Talents located in Changning district commenced operations in April. Bermet Dzhuzumkulova from Kyrgyzstan and Veronika Hozakova from Slovakia, two international students from Donghua University, have taken on pioneering roles as the first foreign students to intern at the district-level government service hall.

As foreign social workers, Dzhuzumkulova and Hozakova have been entrusted with crucial responsibilities. These include grasping the needs of foreign visitors, guiding them to the appropriate service counters, and addressing their inquiries to the best of their abilities. Leveraging their backgrounds as international students, they swiftly establish connections with expats.

Reflecting on her initial experiences, Dzhuzumkulova remarked, "I had the pleasure of meeting numerous new colleagues and embarking on fresh experiences. The contemporary office setting and the positive ambiance truly resonate with me. We offer 30 diverse life services tailored for foreign visitors, aiming to simplify their transition and enhance their overall experience."
Sharing her aspirations, Hozakova expressed, "My early days in China mirrored the challenges our visitors encounter. It's my hope to provide effective aid to fellow foreigners and showcase the Shanghai that holds a special place in my heart."
