The course sparked great enthusiasm among the Thai students, who, under Professor Dong’s hands-on guidance, displayed high levels of engagement and practical skills. The course also attracted pharmacists from TCM hospitals in Thailand, who attended and participated in the practical sessions.

Collaboration between Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Huachiew Chalermprakiet University dates back to 2003 when 50 TCM students enrolled in the 2004 TCM program. This pioneering partnership has laid the foundation for undergraduate TCM education in Thailand, producing over 960 graduates to date. Impressively, more than 90 percent of these graduates have passed Thailand's medical licensing examination, establishing themselves as key contributors to Thailand’s TCM industry.
