Global business Chinese education meet held in Shanghai

The 8th International Symposium on Business Chinese Education was held on July 12-14 at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in East China's Shanghai.

Guided by the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching and co-hosted by SUFE and the University of International Business and Economics, the event attracted over 100 experts and scholars from around the globe.

During the symposium, several experts shared their research findings in keynote speeches. Professor Joel Bellassen from the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations in Paris discussed a teaching model for French-Chinese bilingual classes.

Professor Su Yingxia from Beijing Language and Culture University introduced the Smart Chinese Classroom course framework.

Associate Professor Wang Haidan from the University of Hawaii at Manoa emphasized workplace Chinese conversation teaching. Professor Zhou Hong from SUFE analyzed the business Chinese language needs of international students in China.

In the expert dialogue session, scholars from the UK, Singapore, and other countries discussed the training needs of international business Chinese talent.

In addition, both domestic and international experts conducted four group sessions covering various aspects of international business Chinese education.

These included the training model for composite business Chinese international talent, the construction of digital and intelligent platforms for international business Chinese education, and cross-cultural communications in business cooperation.

At the closing ceremony on July 14, Dean Dong Jing of the International Cultural Exchange School at SUFE summarized the symposium.

The dean thanked all participants and called for continued future cooperation to inject new vitality into the development of international business Chinese education.
