Share your story in 2nd 'Enjoy Reading China' competition

Jointly organized by Shanghai Normal University and the Shanghai Teacher Institute (also known as the Teaching and Research Office under the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education), the 2nd Competition of Chinese Storytelling by International Students on "Enjoy Reading China" is scheduled from September to November 2024. This event invites participation from international students currently enrolled in universities across China.

01 Participants

Open to international students across the country, with options for both individual and team entries.

02 Competition structure

The event comprises preliminary and final rounds. Participants must submit preliminary entries in video format. A panel of experts will evaluate these submissions to select finalists. The finals will be held in person at Shanghai Normal University, with awards for first, second, and third places, among others.

03 Submission guidelines

1. Submissions can be individual or team-based (teams may include up to five members).

2. Format: Primarily narrative, featuring the main speaker throughout, enhanced by various artistic elements.

3. Video specifications: HD 1920x1080 horizontal format, 4-6 minutes, MP4 format, and not exceeding 700 MB. Videos must have clear visuals and sound, free from shaking or noise.

4. Language: Chinese.

04 Timeline

1. Mid-September: Competition announcement and call for entries.

2. Oct 25: Deadline for preliminary video submissions (to be sent to the designated competition email).

3. Mid-November: Finals at Shanghai Normal University (specific details to be announced).
