East China Normal University hosts career training camp for international students
The International Students Union of East China Normal University recently hosted a career training camp to help students understand the job market in China and enhance their competitiveness.
The training camp featured Yang Zhicheng, a national level-2 psychological counselor and human resources manager, and Takahashi Eri, president of the East China Normal University International Students Union as guest speakers.
Yang provided an overview of the job market in China, guiding how job seekers can target companies based on their career goals. He also introduced three self-assessment tools — Enneagram, MBTI, and DISC — to help participants understand how to position themselves in their careers. Additionally, he provided practical guidance to the students on essential pre-interview preparation, including understanding each position, refining personal resumes, and handling interview questions.
Takahashi offered advice on crafting an outstanding resume. She emphasized the importance of visual appeal of a resume through proper layout and font choices while maintaining conciseness. Furthermore, she recommended several online resume-building tools and websites to help students choose suitable templates and improve efficiency.
