Shanghai's Yangpu district hosted the "Discover Fun in Yangpu" event on March 1, inviting international students and prominent influencers to explore the district's cultural and artistic attractions.
Their first stop was the Museum of China Press and Publication, the nation's first professional museum dedicated to news and publishing. The museum's collection of nearly 600,000 items showcases the development and evolution of Chinese news publications.
During their visit, participants explored digital recreations of the Kizil Caves murals from Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region through an interactive AR app. Ekaterina Pushkarenko, a Russian student from Tongji University, expressed amazement, noting that the AR technology makes the murals feel alive.

The next stop was the Dunhuang Contemporary Art Museum in Yangpu, a former parking garage transformed into a space displaying the artistic achievements of Dunhuang, in Gansu province.
Featuring works by 21 renowned contemporary artists, the museum bridges modern art with the ancient Dunhuang civilization.
Here, guests tried their hands at making Dunhuang-themed incense tablets. Lennart Rott, a German student from Tongji University, made two incense tablets and said that this experience sparked his interest in crafts.
The final stop of the tour was Changyang Campus, an artificial intelligence park in downtown Yangpu.
At a space-themed art museum in the park, tea artist Ge Yajun gave a lecture on the history and preparation techniques of a Tang Dynasty (618-907) dessert known as guozi. These sweet treats once served in ancient tea houses are still enjoyed with tea to this day.
