Shanghai's international talent fair draws thousands
The 2025 Shanghai High-Level International Talents Exchange Conference & International Students Job Fair at Fudan University drew nearly 5,000 international students, returning volunteers from overseas Chinese education programs, and foreign professionals.

The event featured major companies such as JD, Alibaba, Meituan, and Ctrip, covering sectors like intelligent manufacturing, financial economics, biopharmaceuticals, cultural education, and foreign trade services. Nine leading industry companies delivered presentations, drawing significant interest from international jobseekers.
Over 30 universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Fudan University, provided consultation areas for those interested in studying in China.

The fair attracted attendees not only from Shanghai but also from across the country. Students from Harbin, Heilongjiang province — including a Salvadoran and a Mexican — traveled to Shanghai to attend the event, and were captivated by the beauty and academic opportunities in southern China. "It was a long journey but absolutely worth it," they said.
An Ethiopian jobseeker, who has been living in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province for nine years, found many suitable positions at the fair and plans to submit several resumes, hoping to advance a career in China.

Also in attendance were students from Wycombe Abbey International Changzhou in Jiangsu province. One student, planning to pursue higher education in China, showed keen interest in the service industry, particularly hotel management. "Discovering international hotel groups here is a great way to learn more about the field," she said.
Fudan University staff noted that face-to-face communication at the event is more effective than through online channels. Participants with further questions can refer to the contact information provided in the promotional materials to reach out for additional inquiries.
