Fudan University welcomed its new cohort of postgraduate students on Sept 1. This year, the university has enrolled over 600 new postgraduate students from more than 80 countries, reflecting significant growth in both numbers and international diversity.

Several new programs were introduced this year. English-taught offerings include a PhD program in Digital Technology and Communication Studies, a master's program in International Public Administration, a PhD program in Global Public Policy and Governance, a master's program in Environmental Science and Engineering, and a master's program in Materials and Chemical Engineering. New Chinese-taught programs were also launched, including a master's program in International Affairs and a master's program in History and Tourism Management.

At the International Student Affairs Center, new students completed essential procedures such as document verification, visa consultation, and registration under the guidance of staff members and volunteers, which ensured a smooth and efficient process.

The orientation featured an engaging briefing session for the new students on the evening of Sept 1, covering academic administration, campus life, laws and regulations, and guidelines on safe banking practices in China. It provided comprehensive support to help students integrate into the Fudan community.

During the Q&A session, faculty members answered students' questions about visas, course registration, student clubs, and other topics, ending the session on a positive note.
