Registration opens for SJTU-led AI and energy innovation competition
Shanghai Jiao Tong University, together with five partner universities, has launched the inaugural "AI and energy" technological innovation competition for college students. Kicked off on August 28, it is the first student competition in China dedicated to the integration of AI and energy. Registration remains open.
The competition is a key initiative by SJTU to enhance talent cultivation through its College of Smart Energy. In recent years, the college has pioneered the integration of AI into teaching, scientific research, and campus life. It has implemented a specialized "AI and energy" curriculum, combining AI courses with new power and energy systems to reshape talent development goals and methods.
The college has also established an intelligent teaching framework to build a smart energy demonstration campus that combines education, research, training, and low-carbon initiatives. Students can use AI tools to monitor and analyze real-time energy consumption data on campus, engaging in hands-on energy optimization practices.
