Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has been hosting the "TCM Classics Reading Club" every week since March 2023. The club encourages international students majoring in TCM to study, reflect on, and apply the classics in their practice, helping them deepen their knowledge and enhance their professional skills.

The club is regularly led by alumnus Cai Yongsheng, a Malaysian graduate in acupuncture and tuina, along with mentors from the school's two youth mentor teams.

To date, the university has hosted 43 sessions. During these sessions, guest mentors from the youth mentor teams will be invited to share their knowledge and clinical experience with participants, exploring the classics and their practical applications together.

In the first half of 2025, the School of TCM and the Academic Affairs Office jointly held the "Zhu Nansun Cup" TCM Classics Knowledge Competition. The International Education College invited professional training sessions and received the "Outstanding Organization Award", supporting the growth of the reading club and encouraging members to further delve the TCM classics.

To further expand its reach and impact, the reading club is welcoming new students of the class of 2025. International students who are interested in the event can scan the QR code below to register. Upon approval, they will join the designated WeChat group to participate in the regular study sessions and cultural activities.
