As the Spring Festival travel rush draws to a close, Shanghai's universities are preparing for a surge in student arrivals ahead of the new semester.

To ensure a smooth and safe return, the city's Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform, "Suishenxing", in collaboration with multiple transport operators, will launch the 2026 Spring Festival Return-to-Shanghai Campus Customized Shuttles service from Feb 27 to March 8.

This marks the third consecutive year that Shanghai has introduced customized passenger transport services during the Spring Festival travel period to facilitate the concentrated travel of university students. 

Seven routes covering 21 campuses in five districts

This year's service is distinguished by several notable features. The shuttles are specifically designed to address the common challenges students face when returning to Shanghai, such as heavy luggage, complicated transfers, and expensive taxis.

The service will operate seven point-to-point direct routes originating from Shanghai's three main transportation hubs: Hongqiao International Airport, Pudong International Airport, and Shanghai South Railway Station.

The routes cover 21 university and college campuses across five districts: Pudong, Songjiang, Minhang, Fengxian, and Jiading. Students can travel directly from the hub to their campus gates without changing vehicles.

2026 University Student Spring Festival Return Customized Shuttles

Lin-gang Special Area shuttle line

• Pudong Airport Long-Distance Bus Station (Pudong Airport) → Main Gate of Shanghai University of Electric Power → East Gate of Shanghai Dianji University / West Gate of Shanghai Jian Qiao University → Shared Campus for Shanghai Ocean University and Shanghai Maritime University
• Shanghai Hongqiao Long-Distance Bus West Station (Hongqiao Airport, Hongqiao Railway Station)) → Main Gate of Shanghai University of Electric Power → East Gate of Shanghai Dianji University / West Gate of Shanghai Jian Qiao University → Shared Campus for Shanghai Ocean University and Shanghai Maritime University

Songjiang University Town shuttle line

Reminders:

(1) Each route will be confirmed to operate once the required number of bookings is reached. After booking, you should monitor the passenger count for your selected route. The platform will notify you of the service confirmation one day before departure. For detailed provisions, please refer to the relevant guidelines published on Suishenban.

(2) Boarding check-in begins 15 minutes before departure. You may select a suitable time slot based on your schedule.

(3)The "Intercity Express" (城际快线) and "Customized City Transport" (市内定制) sections within the Suishenxing platform provide purchasing guides and service introductions. For further inquiries, Please contact the customer service hotline at 400-820-0022.

How to book and ride

From now on, students with travel needs can book tickets through the following two methods:

(1) Scan the dedicated Campus Return Shuttle QR code below to access the route inquiry and ticket purchase page. Select and book your preferred shuttle schedule based on your travel plans.

(2) Use the Suishenxing app or WeChat mini-program, and complete your booking by following the instructions. On the platform, they can navigate to the "Intercity Express (城际快线)" section, select  and select the "Customized Student Shuttle (返校专线)" option to purchase a ticket.

After successful booking, you can view your e-ticket on the platform. If you are arriving at Hongqiao Station, you can also use the built-in Indoor Navigation for Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station for the long-distance bus station. Upon reaching the boarding point, you can scan the electronic QR code for verification to board.
