Xuhui 'Urban Narrators' multilingual team calls for international students
Shanghai's Xuhui district is recruiting international student volunteers to join its "Urban Narrators" multilingual team. Registration details are provided below.
Project overview
The Urban Narrators Volunteer Alliance has more than 1,400 registered members and has contributed over 125,000 service hours. Its Multilingual Urban Narrators Team provides interpretation services in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, and Russian. The team is dedicated to sharing Shanghai-style culture with the world.
Recruitment target
International students in China, who are available to participate in their spare time. Participation in the program is free of charge.
Two roles to choose from
▶ Shanghai-style Culture Interpreter: Provide on-site introduction to Shanghai's historical buildings, neighborhoods, and museums in your native language or in Chinese, serving as a cultural exchange ambassador.
▶ Shanghai-style Culture Promoter: Record and share cultural experiences through vlogs, short videos, or graphic posts on global social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, showcasing the unique charm of Shanghai-style culture.
