The Shanghai Equestrian Masters serves as the centerpiece of the 2026 Shanghai International Horse Culture Carnival and marks the city's first high-level show jumping competition to bear its name.

Isabell Werth, the German rider known as the Queen of Dressage, will appear at the opening ceremony, where she will perform in a dressage routine.
