Botanical adventures await as Chenshan camp reopens July 12
The annual Chenshan Botanical Garden summer camp is set to return on July 12, promising an unforgettable nocturnal adventure for young explorers. It offers a captivating blend of scientific discovery, immersive natural experiences, and thrilling nighttime exploration.
Highlights
- Explore the plant kingdom: Young participants become budding naturalists as they journey through various specialized gardens. They learn to identify diverse plant forms, feel the intricate textures of tree bark, listen to the gentle rustling of nocturnal creatures, and connect with the vibrant life of the plant kingdom.
- Night exploration of the aquatic garden: Guided by expert instructors, campers embark on a quest to observe the fascinating world of nocturnal insects. Amid the aquatic plant garden, they will explore the unique forms and behaviors of these nighttime neighbors, uncovering the mysteries that unfold after dark.
- Build dream gardens: Creativity takes center stage as children use Lego bricks to construct their dream botanical gardens. This hands-on activity encourages them to express their vision of an ideal plant paradise, fostering both imagination and environmental awareness.
Registration and fees
- Eligibility: Open to children from grades two to four (around 8 to 10 years old), who can participate independently.
- Cost: 450 yuan ($62.75) per person, inclusive of admission, meals, course fees, activity materials, and insurance. The fee does not cover personal expenses or any additional costs not specified in the itinerary.
Refund policy
- Full refunds are available for cancellations made more than seven days before the event (excluding the seventh day).
- Cancellations made two to seven days prior will receive a 70 percent refund.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made one day before or on the day of the event.
- In cases of force majeure (e.g., typhoons, thunderstorms), full refunds will be issued.

- First session: July 12 (Saturday)
- Second session: July 16 (Wednesday)

Essential items for camp
- Lightweight long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and sports shoes are recommended.
- A lightweight backpack and personal water bottle.
- Optional items include sunscreen, mosquito repellent (also provided by the organizers), and snacks.
- Participants are advised not to bring valuable items such as smart watches, cameras, cash, mobile phones, or tablets. The camp is not responsible for any loss or damage to these items.
Important reminders
The organizers may adjust the schedule based on weather conditions and participants' health, ensuring the full experience remains intact.
By registering, participants consent to the use of photos and videos taken during the camp by the organizers.
