The Shanghai Art Film Federation will host a classic Russian film festival from Nov 23 to Dec 1 to honor the 100th anniversary of film master Sergei Parajanov's birth and the centennial of Mosfilm, Russia's premier film studio.

Renowned for its acclaimed screening series, the federation has previously featured retrospectives of directors like Stanley Kubrick, Roman Polanski, and Werner Herzog, as well as showcases of Japanese, French, Russian, and Italian film masters.

This year's festival will highlight masterpieces produced by Mosfilm, including Andrei Tarkovsky's Solaris (1972), and international co-productions like Vittorio De Sica's Sunflower (1970).

Attendees can look forward to seven classic films from five renowned directors, all presented in digitally restored versions for an optimal viewing experience.
