Whether you're a skater or simply looking to soak up the festive winter atmosphere, there's no better way to experience the season than a visit to one of Shanghai's top ice and snow venues.

From outdoor rinks by the Huangpu River to the world's largest indoor snow park, Shanghai's ice and snow world is ready to impress.

 

Ice Rink at Gate M West Bund Dream Center

With its prime location facing the Huangpu River, the Ice Rink at Gate M West Bund Dream Center is Shanghai's largest outdoor riverside ice rink. Spanning over 1,500 square meters, it offers stunning river views and is surrounded by eye-catching installations, including a 16-meter-tall Jagermeister elk sculpture and dazzling light displays. At night, artificial snowfall adds to the magical winter ambiance.

Shanghai International Winter Festival

If you're in the mood for a truly festive experience, you can't go wrong with the Shanghai International Ice and Snow Festival. It has been held for six consecutive years, with new events offered each year. From ice skating and curling to light shows and artificial snowfall, the venue delivers the perfect winter wonderland holiday party. Not to mention, it's a fantastic spot to take photos of the rink with the Oriental Pearl Tower in the background!

Raffles City Changning Outdoor Ice Rink

The Raffles City Changning outdoor ice rink offers a unique skating experience. Located near Zhongshan Park, this 800-square-meter rink is the perfect spot to skate while soaking in the beauty of St. Mary's Hall, known for its classic architecture. With green lawns surrounding the rink and snowfall creating a picturesque backdrop, it's also an ideal location for winter photos.

Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort

For the ultimate indoor winter experience, Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort is not to be missed. As the world's largest indoor ski resort, it hosts around 20 snow-themed activities. Since its opening in September 2024, the venue has been making waves. The park, inspired by Nordic landscapes, features everything from aurora villages to snow castles, making it the perfect place for both skiing and photo ops.
