Shanghai Xintiandi Shikumen Block was included in the third batch of national-level tourism leisure street blocks by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Dec 27, 2023.

Completed in 2001, Shanghai Xintiandi Shikumen Block pioneered a new concept of development and protection for historical buildings and cultural features. 

Through meticulous restoration, the block preserved the iconic appearance of Shanghai's Shikumen buildings, transforming it into a landmark that combines culture, lifestyle, dining and fashion. 

It is also a symbol of Shanghai's cultural heritage and uniqueness as a tourist leisure district.

The block also hosts fashion shows, boutique markets, creative workshows and music and wine festivals, aiming to create a vibrant atmosphere for fashion, socializing and lifestyle, offering a diverse and enriching fashion feast.
