Completed in 2001, Shanghai Xintiandi Shikumen Block pioneered a new concept of development and protection for historical buildings and cultural features.
Through meticulous restoration, the block preserved the iconic appearance of Shanghai's Shikumen buildings, transforming it into a landmark that combines culture, lifestyle, dining and fashion.
It is also a symbol of Shanghai's cultural heritage and uniqueness as a tourist leisure district.
