Shanghai AI Lab launches summer recruitment for global research talent
Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory has launched its 2025 summer global recruitment campaign, welcoming outstanding professionals worldwide to join its efforts in cutting-edge AI research and technological breakthroughs.
The laboratory, based in Shanghai, is seeking talent specializing in large models, embodied intelligence, trustworthy AI, AI for Science, and AI systems and data. In addition to research roles, opportunities are also available in industrial innovation and management support.
Positions
Leading scientist
- Identify fundamental challenges in specific fields and serve as a key problem-definer for targeted research areas.
- Candidates should be able to break down major challenges into scientific research questions and develop coordinated blueprints that align technology, application scenarios, and institutional evolution. They should drive theoretical innovation and application breakthroughs in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), and demonstrate a successful track record of leading interdisciplinary research by integrating diverse resources.
Young scientist/researcher
- Lead or participate in major AI research projects and key science and technology projects.
- Candidates should have a solid research foundation in their field and demonstrate strong potential to become top-tier experts with outstanding achievements in cutting-edge research.
Postdoctoral researcher
- Engage in major AI research projects and key S&T projects.
- Candidates should have a solid research foundation in their field. They should demonstrate strong potential to become a leading academic figure in the global research community.
Engineer
- Responsible for implementing major research projects and promoting the application of research outcomes.
- Candidates should have a foundation in engineering practice in artificial intelligence and open-source communities. Professional backgrounds include (but are not limited to) computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, information and communication engineering, electronic science, and automation.
Innovation chain specialist
- Contribute to the "AI+" initiatives, including strategic analysis, project management, and technology commercialization, driving the successful implementation of projects.
- Candidates should have a keen understanding of AI technology trends and industry developments, as well as strong resource integration and coordination skills. A technical background is preferred.
Management support
- Provide comprehensive operational support for the laboratory, including administration, human resources, finance, and asset management. Be able to provide comprehensive management support to ensure the smooth execution of projects and team efficiency.
- Candidates should have strong communication and coordination skills, excellent organizational and planning abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A related professional background is preferred.
