Win pure gold bars, score members-only benefits and explore over 200 local events — it's all happening now at the Shanghai Neighborhood Life Festival!

The Shanghai Neighborhood Life Festival — a key event of the ongoing 2025 Shanghai Shopping Festival — recently kicked off under the auspices of local retail giant Bailian Group.

Aiming to improve and extend the city's 15-minute living circles — which allow residents to carry out essential activities within a short walk from home — the festival features a variety of community activities and consumer bonuses and benefits.

Running through May 25, the festival offers Bailian members the chance to win prizes, including pure gold bars. What's more, each "Super Saturday" features exclusive benefits such as bonus reward points and members-only discounts.

In collaboration with the Shanghai branch of China UnionPay, Bailian is also rolling out discount vouchers, extra loyalty points and parking perks across participating shopping areas.

Additionally, to support the national trade-in policy promoting green consumption, Bailian is offering extended deals through June 1. Shoppers can exchange receipts at store service counters for Bailian  Gift Cards.

More than 200 events are also being held across communities, campuses, industrial zones and parks.

Another highlight is the Neighborhood Benefits Pack, which Bailian members can receive by spending 55 yuan ($7.64) or more at Lianhua or Century Mart supermarkets. The pack includes various online and in-store coupons, offering discounts on mobile bills, movie tickets, car washes, laundry services and more.

Beyond supermarkets, Bailian's online community service platform, local malls and community health outlets are also participating.

The Bailian Quyang Shopping Mall, a subsidiary of the Bailian Group, is offering jewelry vouchers, movie ticket deals and dining packages, while partnering with the Quyang Road subdistrict to host themed events for Earth Day and World Book Day, alongside elderly care fairs.

No 1 Pharmacy, also under Bailian, plans to deliver over 20 community health services — enhancing chronic disease management, especially for senior citizens.
