The registration deadline for the preliminary contest of the 5th Shanghai Global Talents Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition has been extended until the end of April.

Participants should hold at least a bachelor's degree, possess relevant work experience, have a solid understanding of their field and international regulations and serve as the team’s primary leader.

Only those who have not received gold, silver, or bronze awards in past editions of the competition are eligible to apply.

Each project must hold complete and independent intellectual property rights. Only one representative per enterprise or team may register and each participant is limited to one project.

During the registration process, up to 10 additional core team members may be listed, although only one person may officially represent the project.

Seed-stage projects that are planning to settle in Putuo district – as well as projects from other regions or overseas – are welcome to select "Putuo district" as their intended base.

This year's competition spans several key sectors, including future intelligence, information technology and the life and health tracks. It also includes green development and environmental protection, high-end equipment manufacturing and creative culture/agricultural technology.

Participants should select the category most relevant to their project.
