The Feishu China AI Math Camp was launched in Shanghai's Putuo district on Nov 21. Organized by Feishu China and the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment, and Health, the five-day event aims to push forward advancements in artificial intelligence and mathematics.

The camp builds on successful collaborations between Putuo district and Feishu China this year, including the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC)'s Forum on Mathematical Frontiers and Foundational Reconstruction of AI, a summer school on sustainable AI, and an international mathematics symposium. These efforts have greatly advanced AI-driven scientific research in the region.

The camp brought together 19 global scholars and 16 graduate students, supporting Feishu China's mission for interdisciplinary innovation and aiming to make Putuo district a major hub for sustainable AI development.

The event features a hackathon with two key tracks: AI in environmental modeling and AI in mathematics. Participants will collaborate to solve real-world issues such as estimating forest biomass and using AI to identify errors in mathematical proofs.

In addition, Feishu China and New York University Shanghai will co-host a seminar on AI optimization and mathematics. Participants will also visit the Shanghai Robotics Industry Research Institute to explore innovations in AI and mathematics.

Putuo district continues to leverage its strategic location and industrial strengths to support Shanghai's goal of establishing itself as a global technology hub.
