Shanghai's Qingpu district organized the "Chunhui" City Tour event on Dec 12, welcoming more than 200 overseas professionals who explored the district through multiple routes. Among them, the "Qingpu Doctoral Tour" attracted 30 overseas PhDs and postdoctoral researchers from 11 countries, including Japan, Belgium, Canada, and Germany.

As part of the program, participants visited CHCNAC's time-space intelligence exhibition hall, where they gained firsthand insight into Qingpu's technological advancements. Through on-site displays and demonstrations, they learned about key breakthroughs in high-precision satellite navigation, unmanned intelligent systems, and other cutting-edge fields through on-site observation.

The team then visited ASD Shanghai Intelligent Valley. In the robot exhibition hall, they observed advanced automated production lines, gaining insights into the city's smart manufacturing ecosystem and broader industrial development trends.

In the afternoon, the tour shifted to cultural and ecological sites. At Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, the group strolled along the old flagstone streets, Kezhi Garden, Fangsheng Bridge, and North Street, experiencing Qingpu's historical and cultural character. At Qingxi Country Park, they explored the area’s natural landscapes and saw how ecological preservation is integrated into the district’s urban development.

Many participants expressed a strong interest in living and working in Qingpu. A scholar from the University of Tokyo said that the trip not only sparked ideas for future projects but also fostered valuable friendships. Several participants said they were impressed by the district's talent introduction policies and support for project implementation, which encouraged them to base their projects in Qingpu. An expert from Ghent University in Belgium appreciated the district's development, noting the integration of beautiful landscapes, a friendly environment, a diligent spirit, and multiple opportunities.
