AI tech takes center stage at 2024 Inclusion Conference exhibition
East China's Shanghai is abuzz, with the 2024 Inclusion Conference on the Bund currently showcasing an exhibition featuring AI-powered technologies set to revolutionize various aspects of people's lives.
Running in tandem with the conference from Sept 5 to 7, the expo is said to be a testament to the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in shaping the future.
Occupying a formidable area of 10,000 square meters, the event has brought together over 100 global tech giants and renowned research institutes, each presenting their most advanced products and innovations.
The focus is on exploring the role of AI in future life, with a particular emphasis on core technologies such as AI, big data and security.
Visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to witness firsthand how AI can seamlessly integrate into different sectors, including health, administration and finance. The display includes interactive demonstrations where individuals can engage with over 20 AI assistants, each powered by large cutting-edge models capable of handling multiple requests with ease.
One of the highlights of the expo is the future assistance section, where attendees interact with Alipay's AI assistant through dialogues to perform tasks such as purchasing tickets, ordering meals and obtaining transportation QR codes swiftly.
The AI assistant can also provide personalized services based on location and time – such as creating a customized itinerary for a nighttime city walk.
In the wealth section, visitors can engage with AI assistants that offer insights into market trends, provide investment advice and address financial queries.
Meanwhile, in the health section, Alipay's health agent showcases services like reading health reports, identifying medications and even simulating a digital health agent. Developed in collaboration with the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province, the agent is designed to assist patients in navigating medical services – functionality that is particularly beneficial for the elderly.
BrainCo, a pioneering company specializing in brain-computer interface technologies, has unveiled its smart bionic hand and leg innovations at the exhibition.
By capturing and analyzing electromyographic signals generated by human movements, these bionic limbs can be controlled based on brain commands, enabling users to perform a wide range of actions effortlessly.
In addition to the futuristic AI technologies on display, the conference also features a green marketplace aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. More than 70 brands – including industry leaders like Patagonia and Oatly – are participating in the marketplace, focusing on themes of nature, innovation, renewal and vitality.
