The 2026 Hyundai Archery World Cup Stage 2 is taking place in Shanghai from May 5 to 10, bringing together more than 400 competitors, coaches, and other participants from 42 countries and regions.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the Archery World Cup and the 15th season of its Shanghai stage in Pudong New Area, this year's event features 10 medal events: men's and women's individual and team events, as well as mixed team contests, in both the recurve and compound categories.

Qualification and elimination rounds run from May 5 to 8 at Yuanshen Sports Center, with the finals scheduled for May 9 and 10 at Riverside Financial Plaza in Pudong New Area.

Beyond the competition, Pudong has launched a range of activities connecting sports with culture, tourism, commerce, and exhibitions. In the lead-up to the event, an archery carnival was held across shopping areas, office buildings, communities, and schools, offering interactive experiences for residents and visitors. During the competition, ticket holders can enjoy ticket-linked promotions at commercial areas and cultural venues.

Organizers say they aim to continue using sport as a bridge, culture as a cornerstone, and the city as a backdrop to foster closer links among culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions, highlighting the vitality and appeal of Shanghai, with Pudong at its dynamic heart.
