Shanghai institute launches tailored training program with Arizona State University
The Shanghai National Accounting Institute launched the eighth cohort of its Master of Management in Accounting (Data Analytics) program on April 25.
Tailored specifically for China Railway Group Limited, this program marks the first in-depth, customized talent development program between a Chinese-foreign cooperative education initiative and a central State-owned enterprise.
Over the course of two years, the program is designed to cultivate interdisciplinary professionals with a core focus on accounting and auditing, enhanced by data analytics, and incorporating emerging areas such as environmental, social, and governance principles.
Courses will be jointly taught by renowned professors from the institute and Arizona State University, alongside industry practitioners.
The collaboration bridges academic training, corporate strategy, and industry needs, marking a pioneering effort by the institute in integrating industry and education, as well as school-enterprise cooperation.
Benjamin Shao, associate dean at Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business, shared in a video message that digital financial transformation is now an inevitable trend in the global economic landscape. The school will support the program by providing educational resources to develop globally competitive financial management professionals.
Yu Laixin, head of the finance and financial management department at China Railway Group, emphasized that the initiative reflects the company's strategy to enhance its talent pool, meet growing demands for financial innovation, and foster digital transformation and integrated management capabilities.
The program is expected to address talent shortages while offering participants expanded career development opportunities, creating mutual benefits for both the enterprise and its individuals.
