Red Land 2026, a large-scale event for game and animation fans, is set to take place from Oct 2 to 6 on Fuxing Island in Yangpu district.

Organized by Xiaohongshu, or RedNote, the event will showcase more than 100 well-known game, animation, and pop culture franchises, doubling last year's total. These include popular Chinese titles such as Honor of Kings, Black Myth: Wukong, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail. The event will also highlight global entertainment franchises including Disney's Zootopia and Marvel, as well as international video game titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

This year's exploration area will expand to more than 100,000 square meters and feature three themed areas. Visitors can move freely among these areas, each showcasing a variety of games, animation series, and entertainment franchises.

The event will introduce new activities, including a parade and an "adventurer's camp" stage.

The parade will take place along "Adventurer Avenue" every evening. It will feature a display of characters from participating games and series, cosplayers, and themed floats. The official Red Land lead float will head the parade each day, featuring a different theme and character.

Along the parade route, visitors can interact with characters and discover hidden surprises. For the first time, visitors can join the parade in cosplay, as an original character, or in distinctive gear, walking alongside the floats.

The "adventurer's camp" stage will follow a "five-day, five-theme" format and include two stages, the daylight stage and the moonlight stage.

Throughout the day, the daylight stage will host meet-and-greet sessions and fan gatherings. In the evening, the moonlight stage will feature exclusive performances with a different theme each night, including Chinese-style songs, popular game and animation music, and symphonic scores.

Regular-price tickets will be available for purchase starting at noon on Sept 8 and will remain on sale until Sept 24. Priced at 99 yuan (about $14.73) per day, these tickets will be sold exclusively through the Damai app.
