Madame Tussauds Shanghai opened in 2006, honoring the 200-year history of the Madame Tussauds wax museum.

It showcases lifelike wax figures of famous personalities, allowing visitors to interact up close with their heroes.

The museum has nine themed exhibition areas featuring wax figures of over 100 celebrities, including Audrey Hepburn, Yao Ming, Liu Xiang, Lin Dan, David Beckham, Teresa Teng Li-Chun, Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing, Jay Chou, Jackie Chan, Marilyn Monroe, Albert Einstein, Diana Princess of Wales, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and many others.

Tips for capturing better photos:

2. Don't wear too many layers inside; the clothing for some photo-taking tools inside the venue is more suitable when worn close to the body.

3. Apply slightly heavier makeup; since some of the lighting in the wax museum feels like stage lighting, photos turn out better with slightly heavier makeup.

4. When visiting, remember to keep a distance from the wax figures and avoid damaging them.
