Service overview: This service allows foreign nationals entering China to fill out their arrival card online before arriving in China.

Laws and regulations:

Foreign nationals can submit their entry information online before arriving in China through the Government Service Platform of National Immigration Administration, the NIA 12367 app, the WeChat or Alipay mini program, or by scanning a QR code.


For foreign nationals who are unable to fill out the form online in advance, entry information can be submitted upon arrival at immigration inspection sites at all Chinese ports of entry by scanning a QR code, using on-site smart devices, or filling out a paper arrival card.

Q: Who is exempt from filling out the arrival card?
A: The following travelers do not need to fill out the arrival card:
• Holders of China's Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card
• Holders of a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (Non-Chinese Citizens)
• Travelers holding a group visa or those eligible for group visa-free entry
• Passengers transiting directly within 24 hours without leaving the port's restricted area
• Cruise ship passengers entering and exiting on the same cruise ship
• Travelers entering through designated fast lanes
• Foreign staff of exit-entry transport vehicles
