Xuhui district in Shanghai boasts 278 registered ancient trees, which were here long before the city's towering skyscrapers emerged. These green treasures beckon visitors to come uncover the wonders of the natural world.
Hengshan Park was formerly known as Beidang Park, but it was renamed in October 1943 after Beidang Road was renamed to Hengshan Road. The 1.08-hectare park's meticulously designed landscape features a 3-meter statue of Shen Junru (1875-1963), a key figure in China's democratic movements.
