Yangpu district's century-old industrial landmarks have morphed into a stunning waterfront tourism route. To showcase this blend of rich history and vibrant modern attractions, the Yangpu district administration of culture and tourism invited nine Chinese and international families from Shanghai's international schools for a cultural riverside adventure on March 30.
Here's a look at their itinerary:
WorldSkills Museum

The journey kicked off at the WorldSkills Museum, the only museum globally recognized by the World Skills Organization. With over 800 exhibits, it highlights the past, present, and future possibilities of various skills. Visitors, including international families, explored themed areas like Skills and Space Exploration, where they experienced VR space walks and other interactive exhibits, igniting an interest in different skills.

Youku Art Park

Next, the group visited Youku Art Park, a site that once housed a warehouse of the Asiatic Petroleum Company in 1907. This newly established park, adjacent to the Shanghai International Fashion Center, blends industrial heritage with contemporary art. Families engaged in oil tank-themed frisbee graffiti and a frisbee relay, enjoying interactive art and friendly competition.

Zotter Chocolate Theatre
The final stop was the Zotter Chocolate Theatre, nestled within the Shanghai International Fashion Center. This venue offers an immersive chocolate-making experience. Visitors indulged in the rich aroma of cocoa, sampled a variety of chocolate flavors, and participated in DIY chocolate-making, crafting personalized chocolate molds.
