The 2026 Shanghai Table Tennis Carnival is in full swing across the city. In Jiading district, qualifying matches started on April 18.

At Anting Old Street, more than 100 people signed up as soon as registration opened. Among the participants was a table tennis enthusiast from Sudan, who traveled specifically for the event after hearing about it. He shared that he used to play frequently back home, but the atmosphere here felt even more exciting with so many people playing together.
