At the Shanghai Hongqiao One-stop Service Center for Overseas Talents, individuals can complete visa applications related to China, visa reviews, certifications, and issuances in one seamless process. With a turnaround time of just seven working days, individuals can quickly obtain their work-related residence permits. This streamlined process allows them to only make one visit, or in some cases, do everything online.
The center goes further by providing a range of services tailored to overseas talent, including Chinese language classes, ready-to-move-in international student apartments in Changning district, and a 24-hour self-service area.
The facility also features various zones such as the foreign talent financial service area and the foreign talent labor dispute arbitration court, all designed to provide one-stop services. Additionally, the center offers currency exchange machines with eight language options, self-service kiosks and equipment for bill payment, tax document printing, and labor dispute arbitration reservation.

In specialized zones designated for key enterprise and high-level talent services, staff conduct video verification for talent settlement processes, enabling online appointments and video verification procedures. The center also features the "Exclusive Service Zone for Outstanding Global Talent," which offers personalized one-on-one services without the need to leave home.
The Shanghai Hongqiao One-stop Service Center for Overseas Talents serves as a comprehensive platform that connects talent with resources, housing, shared spaces, and services.
In response to the diverse needs of talents, the center provides online services for those who find it inconvenient to visit in person. The center's official website, which is synchronized with the International Services Shanghai portal, also offers online registration for talent housing.

Jiang has already found an ideal apartment in Changning, just a 5-minute walk from her workplace, saving both time and money.
The center's online platform has won praise from residents like Norwegian entrepreneur Per Askeland, who appreciates the comprehensive information available, including details of local events and services. Askeland has recommended the website to many international friends, highlighting the guidelines for their simplicity and convenience.
The proactive approach of the Changning district government in supporting foreign residents and businesses has not gone unnoticed.
