Tourist Attraction of Original Industrial Aspiration Culture
The Tourist Attraction of Original Industrial Aspiration Culture is located in Putuo district, a birthplace of modern Chinese industry and a cradle of the workers' movement led by the Communist Party of China in Shanghai.
The scenic spot, consisting of Gu Zhenghong Memorial Hall and Exhibition Hall of the Huxi (West Shanghai) Half-day School for Workers, is open to visitors for free. It serves as a valuable resource for in-depth research on the early struggles of the CPC and the development history of national capitalism, as well as for education on patriotism and revolutionary traditions.
Gu Zhenghong Memorial Hall
The memorial hall sheds light on Martyr Gu Zhenghong's life and deeds, while also exploring the historical significance of the May 30th Movement in 1925.
On the left side of the memorial square stands a statue of Gu, while on the right wall is a large relief commemorating the May 30th Movement. Behind the memorial hall is the site where Gu made the ultimate sacrifice.
