Chinese Farmer Painting Village
Chinese Farmer Painting Village is located in Zhonghong village, Fengjing town, Shanghai. It is known as the birthplace of Jinshan farmer paintings, which are characterized by their bold artistic expression, innovative composition, bright colors, and unrefined style.
The village opened its doors to visitors on April 28, 2006, as the first of Shanghai's 10 boutique routes for countryside travel and was rated as a 3A-level scenic spot in July 2009.
In addition to gifted local farmer painters, it also draws a large number of distinguished artists from Jilin, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Shandong, Liaoning, and Jiangxi provinces. The vibrant mix of painting, cultural exchange, and art sales make for a rich tourist experience.
Visitors can soak up the artsy vibes while delighting in rich cultural experiences, RV camping, and countryside strolls.
