SPH TCM Cultural Park
The SPH TCM Cultural Park is jointly developed by Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding, and Bright Food Group. Covering 58,667 square meters with a building area of 2,072.4 sq m, it is a comprehensive science and education tourism attraction dedicated to medicinal plant display, the promotion of traditional Chinese medicine culture, and pharmaceutical academic exchange.
The park is organized into three main sections:
1. Thematic exhibition halls
These include the Shanghai TCM history gallery and the product exhibition hall, which focus on TCM cultural education and highlight signature products such as dendrobium, wild ginseng, and saffron.
2. Medicinal plant science garden
This outdoor area features over 200 species of Chinese herbal plants, arranged in themed zones including an orchard, flower garden, herb garden, and arboretum.
3. Education and practice zone
This interactive space includes:
- A cultivation area for Chinese herbs.
- A TCM culture lecture hall.
- Workshops on herbal processing and hands-on crafting.
The park also offers conference rooms of various sizes, a restaurant serving refined medicinal cuisine, and leisure activities such as fishing.
