Spanning 1.08 square kilometers in Pudong New Area, Haishen Village Scenic Area presents a landscape where nature and culture meet in quiet harmony.
Winding waterways trace the edges of the village, inviting unhurried walks and gentle boat rides, while protected redwood groves play a vital role in sustaining the local water system. This serene natural setting forms the backdrop to a rich rural life expressed through patchwork fields, farmland, wooded areas, and homes flowing seamlessly into one another to create the classic Jiangnan scene of water, fields, woods, and dwellings.
Haishen village is also known as the hometown of Zhong Tianshi, China's first Olympic cycling gold medalist, adding a modern note of pride to its long-standing traditions.
